Feedback

This page is for blog design and content feedback. Please feel free to add your suggestions and/or criticisms concerning my site’s layout, design, text, content, ease of use, readability, etc.

As a technical communicator I strive for consistency, accuracy, and correctness. Usability and accessibility (the cornerstones of human-centered design and visual theory) are of utmost importance for providing a positive user experience. So, please, feel free to share your thoughts! Keep in mind, though, that I’m still in the process of learning. My usage of language (syntax, grammar, etc.) is far from perfect. However, this why I created a blog; more writing makes a better writer.

Also, if you’re wondering “What on earth is technical communication?” the following links provide a fairly decent, albeit oversimplified, introduction to tech comm.

istc.org – A UK based tech comm organization.

tech com wiki page – Oh, what would we do without wikipedia?

I’ll attempt some actual ‘site feedback’.

It looks like you’ve decided on a visual style to the place. I like the header, and the one period at the end. Not too many, and not none. Interesting, almost zenish …… I also like the “The Thinkess” avatar photo.

Very clean looking in layout as in less is more. The dark background is not my favorite, but you make it work. Most folk don’t understand color and depth perception and overload a dark screen with screaming color and phosphorescent hues. It sure does make the photos just jump right off the page, damned near a 3D experience. You are so HIP, nay … you’re down-home “snazzy”.

It’s kinda hard to feedback on the content (amount of verbiage) vs the content (worthiness?) of the contented verbiage that spawns herein. /At least you don’t throw down sentences like that one/

So if the visuals are a good, the content is muy gooder. Lyrical in style and pace. Send more.

My only bitch with wordpress is that a long post can’t be paginated. Ah, well. I’m helping to setup the history society with a E-zine thing to get them some sort of web presence, Were still working on the “look & feel” but 1st publish date is May 1. Check it out and let me know what you think. http://wrvhs.wordpress.com/

  3. Howdy,

I’ve emailed your info on to Rufus and I’m sure he’ll respond to ya shortly.

    Have a great day,
